Bernie’s graciously stepped to the side
He’s no loser; I’m glad that he tried
His ideas, once extreme, are now in the mainstream
We’ll have his platform as our guide

Joe has his own plans, to be clear
Bold and new, though a bit less severe
Two steps forward, one back; that is more Biden’s track
In his long Public Service career

No, he’s not the most polished or smart
But his leadership always has heart
He knows how we’re feeling and offers us healing
As Trump tears our country apart
